Yankee Sweep Smart Allocation
UI/UX Design

At-a-glance
Yankee Sweep Smart Allocation (YSSA) is a product offered by IntraFi that allows US banks to offer their customers the opportunity to earn potentially above-market interest rates with daily liquidity by placing their money at one or more uninsured US-domiciled branches of foreign banks.
The problem
IntraFi's allocation team managed billions in daily deposit movements using a manual spreadsheet, already straining under growth and at risk of breaking at scale.
My role and product decisions
I owned the design end-to-end over 9 months, collaborating with PMs, Business Analysts, QA, and an external dev team in Mexico. I mapped the daily allocation process flow and designed a 4-step allocation engine: file upload, data preview, allocation output, and sales summary.
Midway through the project, I convinced the team to remove the Sales Summary as Step 4 from the main engine flow and make it a separate screen because the deposit manager's job ends at Step 3, and the sales team needed a different view entirely. Separating them made both experiences seamless and intuitive.

The result
The allocation engine shipped to production. The system now handles liquidations, reallocations, and custodial agent management, automating what was previously a manual daily process.
